Smrita Jain started photography during her undergraduate course at Apeejay Institute of Design, New Delhi, India. With a passion for creating original imagery, she pursued photography (since 2003) as a serious hobby, with 35mm film camera (which she still uses) for fine art photography to commercial and marketing oriented photographing for various organizations and companies. She is a cultural documentary photographer. Her first photography book Creating Durga gained international recognition. To name a few, she has exhibited at Pratt Institute, Javits Center, Queens Museum, The Juliana Curran Terian Design Center Pavilion, The Arthur M. Berger Art Gallery and The Nehru Center London.
